When it comes to HoneyBook and proposal templates, you'll have to put in much more work to give them a wow factor. Aside from having to create your own templates, the way they're saved in your account can sometimes be confusing.

For example, each of your proposals needs to be associated with a Project. This means you'll first need to find or create a project that requires a proposal, then modify or create a template, and finally send it. And if you want to use that template again in the future, you'll also need to remember which Project it was originally connected to. That's because the changes you made in the first place won't be saved in the original template.

Pricing

Seeing that HoneyBook's lowest plan starts at $9/month, as opposed to Better Proposals' $19, it might seem as the more affordable option at first. But, once you look at the fine print, HoneyBook's lowest plan is only sustainable for so long. For example, there's no yearly pricing available with it and you lose support after six months, meaning you'll have to switch to the next plan at $39/month.

Better Proposals, on the other hand, offers yearly subscriptions on all plans, letting you save money no matter the features you need. In addition to that, we offer a free trial no matter where you're from, whereas HoneyBook only allows it for those based in the USA and Canada.

Payment integrations

When it comes to getting paid, depending on the type of business you run, it might be easier with Better Proposals. We offer PayPal, Stripe, and GoCardless integrations, meaning you can get paid from almost anywhere in the world.

With HoneyBook, things aren't that simple. While they do allow you to collect payment through their QuickBooks integration, there are some limitations. For example, you can't integrate QuickBooks Self-Employed, QuickBooks Desktop or multiple QuickBooks accounts. So, if you don't use a version of QuickBooks that's supported, you'll need to use another tool to collect payment.
