New Feature: Template Folders

Between a library of 200+ document templates and the ability to create your own from scratch, your Better Proposals account can soon start looking like a collection of various templates. And if you have a team, it can become even more complicated with multiple people adding new templates by accident or just to see what they look like. If you’re not careful, you might end up using the wrong template and wasting hours of your time correcting the mistake.

At the end of the day, your templates are only useful if your team can find and use them when needed. Now, you can sort, organize, and manage all the templates you saved easily with your new Template Folders.

Using Template Folders

To start using Template Folders, click on the Templates section from the sidebar. Under All Templates, you will see a new functionality called Sort my Templates. Once you’ve toggled it on, all of your templates will be unsorted by default.

Creating and populating a new Template Folder

When you’re ready to start organizing your templates, add a new folder by clicking on the Add Folder button. Once the new folder is created, you can rename it by navigating to the three dots next to the folder name and sort your templates into categories that best work for you.

Let’s say that you want to organize your templates by the main color you’ve used in designing them. You’ve created a template folder, named it Blue Templates, and the only thing left is adding the templates to the folder. To do that, go to the main folder that contains all of your templates. From there, you can either drag your templates into the correct folder or use check boxes to bulk move templates into folders.

Deleting a Template Folder

It’s important to note that deleting a template folder will not remove your templates from your account. When you decide to delete a folder, the templates that were in it simply become uncategorized again and you can still find them in the main Templates folder.

That said, if you do want to bulk delete your templates using folders, you can. First, create a template folder and populate it with the templates you want to delete permanently. Once you’ve done that, enter the template folder, click on Select all and then Delete Templates.
