Following our recent conversation, we’ve put together this proposal to outline our recommended approach for your interior design consultation, along with the next steps involved in moving the project forward.

INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATION

We’ll usually start our projects by having a chat with you to understand your space, your style preferences, and how you currently use each area of the home.

This helps us create recommendations that feel personal and practical. We want to avoid overdesigns or spaces that are difficult to maintain.

SPACE PLANNING & LAYOUT IDEAS

We’ll help improve the flow of your space through layout recommendations that make better use of the rooms you already have.

This may include furniture placement, room zoning, storage ideas, and ways to improve the overall balance of the space.

COLOUR PALETTE & MATERIAL GUIDANCE

It’s very easy to get stuck on choosing colours and finishes. We’ll help narrow down options and create a palette that feels cohesive and timeless while still reflecting your personality.

FURNITURE & STYLING RECOMMENDATIONS

We’ll provide guidance on furniture, lighting, décor, artwork, soft furnishings, and styling details to help bring the overall look together.

Where needed, we can also recommend specific pieces and suppliers.

DESIGN DIRECTION & MOODBOARDS

To help visualise the overall direction of the project, we’ll create moodboards and design references. We want you to feel inspired throughout this process, and seeing it visually is a quick way to build that excitement.

ONGOING COLLABORATION

This is a collaborative process from beginning to end. We’ll work closely with you throughout the project, refining ideas together and ensuring the final result feels aligned with your vision and lifestyle.

INITIAL CONSULTATION (1 Day)

We’ll begin with a detailed consultation to discuss your goals, style preferences, inspiration, practical requirements, and the areas of the home you’d like to focus on.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT (1-2 Weeks)

Following the consultation, we’ll begin developing the overall design direction, including layout concepts, colour palettes, moodboards, and initial recommendations.

DESIGN PRESENTATION (1 Week)

Once the concepts are ready, we’ll present the proposed direction and walk you through the ideas together.

This stage is collaborative, and we encourage open discussion and feedback throughout.

REFINEMENTS (1 Week)

Based on your feedback, we’ll refine and adjust the design recommendations until everything feels aligned with your vision and all your feedback.

FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS (3-5 Days)

Once approved, we’ll provide the final design recommendations and supporting materials so you can confidently move forward with creating the space you’ll love to live in.

The Wilson family felt like their house was just that, a house. Different rooms had been updated at different times,
furniture had been added gradually, and the overall space no longer reflected their personality and their family.

We all worked together to create a softer and more modern design direction throughout the home. This included updating the colour palette, improving furniture layouts, introducing warmer textures, and simplifying some of the more cluttered spaces. We recommended small changes that made the home feel more comfortable and practical for daily life.

HOME SWEET HOME

Their home now feels calmer, brighter, and easier to live in. The updated layout improved the flow between rooms and this makes the house more family friendly. The Wilsons have reported that they really enjoy spending time in their home now and have more regular family nights.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms & Conditions
The following terms are intended to ensure the project runs smoothly and to establish clear expectations for both parties.

Project Scope
This proposal outlines the agreed scope of work based on our current discussions and project requirements.

Any additional rooms, revisions, sourcing requests, or services outside the agreed scope may require additional fees or revised timelines.

Timelines
Estimated timelines are based on timely communication, feedback, approvals, and access to the property where required.

Delays in communication or decision-making may affect project scheduling.

Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to provide access to the property where required, along with any relevant measurements, inspiration references, or information needed for the project.

Revisions
This proposal includes a reasonable number of refinements during the concept stage. Significant changes to the agreed direction or additional revision rounds may be quoted separately if required.

Purchasing & Third-Party Suppliers
Where recommendations for furniture, décor, finishes, or suppliers are provided, purchasing responsibility remains with the client unless otherwise agreed.

Availability and pricing of third-party products may change without notice.

Payment Terms
A deposit may be required before work begins, with remaining balances payable according to the agreed schedule outlined in this proposal.

Late payments may result in project delays or paused work.

Photography & Portfolio Use
The designer reserves the right to photograph completed spaces and use project images for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Project Pause or Cancellation
Either party may pause or cancel the project in writing if necessary. Payment remains due for all completed work and time allocated up to the cancellation date.

Acceptance
By signing this proposal, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined above.
