Proposal Breakdown – The Worst Proposal I’ve Ever Seen

When you come across a proposal this bad, there’s no choice but to learn from it.

It’s so awful, I thought it was a practical joke!

The proposal is from a web design company quoting for a property listing website. Fairly complicated but more or less standard issue stuff. What they sent through to my friend is possibly one of the worst ‘asks’ for business I’ve ever seen in my 15 years of running a business.

In this video, I walk through each part of the proposal and pick it apart so you can see exactly what you should and shouldn’t be doing. If you sell in the digital space then this will be a fun one.

At the end, I do give some recommendations as to what I would have done differently.

Part of me wishes I’d gone to town on them a little more, purely for comedic reasons if nothing else but I’m certain you’ll learn a lot from this breakdown.
