Proposals

While the number of proposals per month will depend on the package you choose with both, Better Proposals still takes this round. That said, both ConnectWise Sell and Better Proposals will let you customize your templates, but there's a catch. In order to have a template to customize to begin with, you'll have to create one from scratch if you decide on ConnectWise Sell. Better Proposals, on the other hand, offers you more than 260 pre-made templates that you can make your own within minutes.

If you're thinking there's more to a good proposal than design, you're absolutely right. That's why both ConnectWise Sell and Better Proposals offer proposal analytics. For you, this means you'll see which proposals have been received, opened, and signed in one interface. However, unlike Better Proposals, ConnectWise Sell doesn't offer this feature on all plans. Instead, you'll have to have at least the Standard plan to easily check the state of your proposals. Another plus of Better Proposals is the document tracking and notification feature. Simply put, instead of having to check your analytics manually, you'll get notified as soon as a client acts on your document.

Integrations

When it comes to integrations, Better Proposals has something for everyone. From CRM and project management to payments, there are more than 40 to choose from.

In addition to that, you have the option to add live chat directly to your documents. That way, your clients can provide instant feedback, which lets you make changes on the go.

If you don't need many different types of integrations, ConnectWise Sell might be the choice for you. Unlike Better Proposals, ConnectWise Sell's integrations are more industry-specific.

For example, you can integrate it with PSA tools, tax software, CRM, and similar tools for corporation needs.

Hi John, I was wondering if it were possible for us to pay over 8 months instead of 12?

Hey Sarah, Sure, I'll adjust the proposal right away. Anything else I can help you with?

Pricing

The Better Proposals pricing system is pretty straightforward. There are three plans for three types of users, starting from $19/month. All of them include different features and you can scale up as needed.

On the other hand, when it comes to ConnectWise Sell, determining what you will end up paying is not as easy as going to their website. Instead of choosing a plan based on the features you want to use, you'll need to request a quote. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. Yes, it makes the pricing less transparent and prolongs the buying process. But it also lets you share more information about your company, which can ultimately result in a more customized solution.

Ease of use

Nothing lets you experience how user-friendly software is like a free trial. And while you get one with Better Proposals, ConnectWise Sell decided to go a different route. If you want to see their product in action, you have two options:

— watch a recorded product demo on their website or
— sign up for a live one

Another important thing to note is that, based on user reviews, you will require some training to make the best out of ConnectWise Sell. So, if you're looking for an easy-to-use drag and drop tool, Better Proposals might be the way to go.

Payment integrations

When it comes to payment integrations, Better Proposals offers you more user-friendly options that allow you to collect payments from virtually anywhere around the world. We integrate with PayPal, Stripe, and GoCardless and you can set your account up for multiple currencies. With Stripe, your clients can pay you safely and easily, no matter whether it’s a one-time payment or a subscription. What's more, GoCardless is a direct debit provider, meaning you don't have to wait for your clients to send you money. Instead, the payment is collected directly from their bank account. And if your clients still prefer PayPal, we’ve got you covered there as well.

With ConnectWise Sell, the payment integration situation is a bit more complicated. Right now, the only available integration is ConnectBooster. Your clients can pay via credit or debit cards, and ACH payments are also accepted. However, the use of the integration requires training. The software was designed for IT service providers, which doesn't make matters easier for you if you aren't in the industry. In addition to that, you'll also have to go through the process of asking for a custom quote because pricing is not set on a plan basis.

Final Verdict
