Front-end Designer and Developer

We’re looking for a versatile designer who’ll be happy to visually communicate the story of Better Proposals. Your artwork will help build relationships with our potential customers and support our existing customers with quality content.

By sending trackable, modern documents with the ability to sign and pay online, our software helps sales representatives win more clients and get paid faster.

Are you “the one”?

As a Graphic Designer at Better Proposals, you will contribute to a variety of projects, including brand awareness campaigns, making our blog prettier, working on the design of our landing pages, building our Proposal template library and potentially working with our high-end customers on custom templates.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

You'll be working with the marketing team to design new graphics, pages and sections of our marketing site, helping out with the product team on occasion. You’ll be assisting in designing new templates for our ever growing template library and working with our higher end clients designing custom templates for them. This might involve Zoom calls.

What you’ll do

• Designing and developing landing pages
• Actively working on keeping the website look and feel up with trends
• Capturing the tone and voice of the Better Proposals and confidently designing on a variety of digital solutions related to social media, website, blog, or app
• Developing pages offline and collaborating on a remote repository
• Create and develop a clean re-usable code
• Participating in a weekly meeting with product or marketing team

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience being a designer, agency or client-side. This means you have a range of experience in different forms of design, from simple illustrations to attention-grabbing animations your code is neat and tidy.
• You should have a very good knowledge of UX and be able to take an idea from concept to completion (or ready to hand off to development).
• You’ll need to be able to draw vector art for our blog and website graphics. Understanding some things can be done quickly if they have a short shelf life and others need to be done with more attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript so you can work on our marketing site.
• It’s a “bring your own tools” role in that we’re not going to insist you use certain software. It’s important you’re comfortable in how you work.
• It’s a team game - you should be willing to take feedback and help others in the team.
• You’re a self-starter, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of the English language, as our team is international.
• Preferably, you’re into SaaS world and understand how it works but not essential.
• You enjoy design and follow the latest trends and techniques. You understand how to follow style guides.
• Ideally you’d be based close to European timezones so team meetings aren’t at crazy times.
• You’d be able to start fairly immediately. If you have a notice period of longer than 30 days it will be difficult to consider you unless your application is exceptional.
